Water in plastic bottles contains more hormones than tap water.

According to a study by two German researchers, the plastic in bottles releases hormones known as endocrine disruptors into the water. These hormones, even if they are low, could interfere with the reproductive functions of men.

To conduct this study, the two researchers chose twenty plastic packagings for bottled water, all of which contain Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). At the end of the study, they realized that plastic mineral water has twice the hormonal activity of tap water or glass water.

Even if the plastics manufacturers have denied the possible health risks following the discovery of the results of this study, it is recommended to be on your guard and always check the type of plastic used when you buy bottled water. or other products packaged with plastic.

Also, many people have a habit of refilling their plastic bottles when they finish drinking the contents, which is strongly discouraged. People may not know it but when a plastic bottle is empty, there is a good chance that it will be contaminated with several fungi or bacteria and by filling it with water, the latter will pass. in our body and weaken the immune system. So when you finish a water bottle, immediately put it in the recycling bin.

WHICH WATER TO CHOOSE?

To avoid the risk of the dangers of bottled water, you can choose other healthier and greener options. Install, for example, a water fountain!

Although it is purer than bottled water, tap water contains unhealthy elements such as lime, which is why you should consider installing a small reverse osmosis filter that will allow you to remove these elements.
